KlingStubbins and Tocci Building Corp. will provide building information modeling, or BIM, services under a new $30 million contract from the General Services Administration.

BIM, which creates virtual models that embody real-world attributes, can be used to generate reams of data, reports and cost estimates based on the facts of an actual project rather than statistical industry cost data.
Under the five-year deal, the design and construction firms will provide consulting services for federal building projects — including new construction and renovations — in various GSA regions across the U.S., including D.C.
The prime contractor team and its co-partners will offer up multidisciplinary BIM, design and construction analysis, cost and schedule

analysis, laser scanning and surveying, and BIM training and support program development.
Cambridge, Mass.-based KlingStubbins has more than 450 people in its D.C., Philadelphia, Cambridge, Raleigh, N.C., San Francisco and Beijing offices. Woburn, Mass.-based Tocci has experience building commercial, residential and institutional projects valued from $10 million to $200 million.
